OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - A program that helps Oklahomans with mental health and substance abuse issues get jobs and housing will end September 31.
Service providers across the state are bracing for impact as the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services makes major cuts to programs.
The cuts come after an audit revealed the department is facing a $30 million deficit, the result of overspending and mismanagement.
News 4 spoke with someone who has close ties with a non-profit and wished to remain anonymous. They say a program that provides jobs and housing for people with mental health and substance abuse issues is now gone.
