WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - A portion of the Trump administration’s “big, beautiful bill” could spell trouble for Planned Parenthood.

A lower court had previously blocked it, but after a ruling from the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, the Trump administration can now enforce a provision that bars Planned Parenthood from receiving Medicaid reimbursements.

In Watertown, about half of the people who go to Planned Parenthood use Medicaid, adding up to $1.5 million a year. That won’t be coming in, given this ruling.

Despite the financial hit, the CEO says there are no plans to turn away people who need care.
