SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — More than a dozen people in San Angelo are spending this week training to become nationally certified child car seat technicians. Once certified, they will work directly with families to ensure children are riding safely.
Sergeant Justin Baker, public information officer for the Texas Department of Public Safety, says the training could make all the difference in a crash.
“When you think about the fact that the knowledge that they're going to have to be able to come out here and properly fit a child to a car seat and then properly secure that car seat to a vehicle, if that vehicle is involved in a crash, they were the difference between life and death, because they made sure that these seats were properly secured, these children were properly
