SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Students at TLCA High School are getting hands-on experience in aviation through a program called Tango Flight.

The two-year course is aimed to allow students to design and build an RSV-12iS, a two-seat aircraft recognized by the Federal Aviation Administration.

The program is entering its third year, and though TLCA has not yet finished a plane, TLCA instructor Ramon Zamora's goal is to change that come May 16, 2026. Following this school year, Zamora hopes that the course can finish a plane on schedule every two years.

Zamora, who is going into his second year teaching the class, says that the program is much more than just deciphering instructions and putting pieces of a plane together. The tango flight instructor says it prepares students
