Police and health and safety experts are investigating after a man died at a scrapyard. ‌

The man, in his 40s, died at the scene in Broadheath, Altrincham, according to police. A number of emergency vehicles were seen attending the site on Wednesday afternoon. There were responses from police, ambulance and fire crews to the scene where local business J Davidson Scrap operates. The adjacent Craven road was closed off by police. Reports indicate the man died from a heart attack after an object, believed to be a car, fell on him. ‌
