COLLEGE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WTAJ) — After months of planning and research, College Township is releasing the results of its independent casino impact study.
SC Gaming initially conducted an impact report in 2021. Last year, township officials expressed interest in conducting their own impact study. Earlier in 2025, the township announced the study would be headed by Convergence Strategy Group, despite some public pushback.
Now, the results of that study are publicly available on the township's website. Assistant Township Manager Mike Bloom said it took "a lot of research" to get to this point. He added the study found "relatively low impacts" on areas like emergency service calls, and a financial benefit of over $1 million in revenue for the township.
