HARRISBURG, Pa. (WTAJ) — Pennsylvania hunters will soon take to the woods to bag a big buck during archery season. With the statewide season kicking off on Oct. 4, there are some things hunters will need to know before they dress up in camo.

The Pennsylvania Game Commission says the season will run through Nov. 21, but it will come back from Dec. 26 through Jan. 19, 2026. The biggest change to this season is the newly expanded Sunday hunting.

Previously, in 2024, Pennsylvania only had three Sundays to hunt big game and only one day was during archery. However, the state repealed the ban, allowing for hunting on 13 Sundays from Sept. 14 through Dec. 7, during the established seasons.

Hunters should be aware, however, that Sunday hunting will only be allowed on Nov. 16, Nov. 23 and Nov. 3
