UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (WTAJ) — Penn State's Harvest Fest is celebrating its tenth year and is looking to expand.

Students, alumni and community members all gathered at the Ross Student Farm. It was a chance to see how some food on campus is made – along with some free succulents.

The farm started out as one acre, but has grown to four. Now they are looking to grow even more.

"We really are excited to work on some fundraising, hopefully, to build a building out here so that we can do more education and more outreach like that to the campus and the whole broader community," Director of Penn State Student Farm Programs Leslie Pillen said.

Visitors also got to sample fresh produce and dishes prepared by local chefs. To learn more about Harvest Fest or the upcoming fundraising project, visit
