Not only is “The Pitt” back in the North for filming: So is a Pittsburgh native who is also an executive producer on the Emmy-winning medical drama.
“It worked out really well that this show is set here,” said Mr. Hissrich, who was born in Braddock and raised in Monroeville. “I love being here, and everybody is so remarkably helpful. From the city to the state, everybody has been great.”
Filming for the HBO Max show’s second season began Wednesday, closing the Rachel Carson Bridge for a short time around 9 a.m. to shoot a scene involving an ambulance.
But the bulk of filming is once again taking place at Allegheny General Hospital, with production planning to wrap the local shoot Friday.
