COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Cobb County Schools is investigating more than a dozen employees for social media posts that appeared to celebrate the shooting of Charlie Kirk, officials said.

District Superintendent Chris Ragsdale spoke with 11Alive on Thursday. It comes after many employees across the nation, including several in Atlanta , are facing disciplinary actions and termination following comments made about Kirk's killing on social media.

Kirk, who was a conservative political activist, was shot and killed Sept. 10 during an event on the Utah Valley University campus. The suspected shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was arrested.
