NELSON COUNTY, Ky. —

Ten years of agony for Crystal Rogers' family came to a head at Brooks Houck and Joseph Lawson’s sentencing Wednesday.

Face to face with the pair found guilty in her 2015 murder, they unleashed, shedding new light on the Houck they knew, a man they described as a monster.

"I watched you shove my brother's head in the front door and leave him screaming on the porch when my mom was at home," said Kylie Fenwick, Rogers’ daughter. "You took my light bulb away because I accidentally left the light on."

They also brought up jail phone calls between Houck and his brother Nick, made shortly after the conviction.

In one, Brooks says to him, "There’s a good chance that I’m going to die in here. Do you understand that?"
