FRANKFORT, Ky. — A former western Kentucky city payroll clerk has been indicted on 15 felony charges related to her employment, announced Attorney General Russell Coleman, R-Ky.
According to a release from Coleman’s office, a Christian County Grand Jury indicted Hailey Bamford, 38, for Abuse of Public Trust less than $10,000 and 14 counts of Tampering with Public Records. The indictment said Bamford, a former payroll accountant and human resource employee for the City of Oak Grove, falsified her time in the city’s accounting system.
The Kentucky State Police announced April 14 it had arrested Bamford , who had falsified business records to get city taxpayer money for a minimum of $6,208.75. KSP said with the help of the Special Investigations Auditor, an audit revealed several occasion
