The city of Caldwell will host a welcome home celebration for Olympic boxer Alyssa Mendoza, who recently competed for Team USA at the 2025 World Boxing Championships in Liverpool, England, according to a news release from the city of Caldwell.

The Caldwell native and Olympian will be honored at a community gathering Tuesday, Sept. 23, from 4-6 p.m. at Indian Creek Steakhouse, the city announced.

"Alyssa's journey is an inspiration to our community and a testament to what hard work and determination can accomplish," Mayor Jarom Wagoner said in the release. "We are excited to celebrate her success and give her the warm Caldwell welcome she deserves."
