BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - This week was All in for AG Education week at Barren County schools. Students got the chance to experience and learn about where their food comes from.
Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Jonathan Shell went to Red Cross Elementary school to tour and talk with students and faculty about what they’re doing within their schools.
At Barren County schools, agriculture is brought to life for all students.
“My secret mission in this is that we don’t know the issues that we’re going to face in the next 40 years in agriculture, but we know we’re going to have to have problem solvers,” Shell said.
School officials say students learn and understand the connection between agriculture in multiple facets of life, including science, technology, health, and business.
