BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. — Scout Motors is increasing its investment in South Carolina, announcing plans to pour an additional $300 million into its Blythewood manufacturing site to build a new supplier park .

The electric vehicle company said the facility will span more than 200 acres and include over 2.3 million square feet of manufacturing and logistics space across three key centers.

This expansion comes on top of Scout Motors’ original production facility currently under construction. That plant is expected to begin producing electric vehicles in 2027.

Although the company has not yet named the supplier that will occupy the park, Scout says the location will streamline operations.
