ALEXANDRIA, La. (WNTZ) – A Rapides Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) deputy arrested an Alexandria man Sept. 16 after a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs, cash and firearms, authorities said.

Deputies identified the passenger as Christopher Deon Allen, 35, who was wanted on active warrants for distribution of Schedule II controlled substances. Allen was taken into custody without incident, while the driver of the vehicle was released at the scene, according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office.

A search of Allen yielded about three ounces of methamphetamine and more than $2,000 in cash. RADE agents later obtained a search warrant for Allen’s residence on Spencer Street, where they reported finding seven additional ounces of methamphetamine, four ounces of marijuana, 17 grams of ecs
