BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- It's a 50-year fair staple -- a food booth that attracts thousands of hungry customers every year at the great Kern County Fair.
The Boy Scouts booth and its savory baked potatoes have been filling the bellies of fairgoers for years. The baked potatoes offered at the booth are simply delicious, and that's on scout's honor.
Every year, hundreds of people line up in front of the Boy Scouts booth to get a taste of the signature fair dish.
"You don't come to the fair without getting one," said Carol Sanders, one of the fairgoers who was excited for the Boy Scouts booth's return. "Anything else, fine, but you gotta have the baked potato."
These baker's beauties potatoes are grown in Idaho and were donated to the Boy Scout Tejon District, according to Tejon Dist
