The man scheduled to be executed in Arizona in October is not going to ask for his life to be spared and said in a handwritten statement provided to The Arizona Republic that he hoped his death would bring "some measure of peace."
Richard Djerf was convicted in 1996 of murdering Albert Luna Sr., his wife, Patricia Luna, and their two children in Phoenix in 1993. They were family members of Djerf's roommate. Djerf believed his roommate had stolen electronics and a gun from him.
