SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Tropical moisture has moved out and will stay away for the next few days. We will see little chance for any significant rainfall through Sunday. Sure there will be a few late day showers popping up now and again but the overall coverage will be minimal.
Get ready for the heat with plenty of sunshine through the weekend with a heat index nearing 100 each afternoon.
A plume of tropical moisture will move back in on Monday bringing a much better chance for scattered storms once again. Monday at 2:19 p.m. is the official beginning of Fall but it wont feel like it. We will see highs near 90 and scattered late day storms. Typically the first real cold front to move through our area doesn’t happen until the second week of October.
