LEE COUNTY, Iowa (WGEM) - A man was arrested on Wednesday on an attempted murder charge after a fight that reportedly involved a knife, Lee County Sheriff Elliot Vandenburg reports.
Vandenburg said deputies responded to a call of a man being cut. On arrival, they learned a fight had broken out between two men who were in a relationship.
During the fight, one of the men is alleged to have grabbed a knife and cut the other man multiple times, including twice on the head and once on the neck.
The suspect, who was not identified, was taken into custody and faces an attempted murder charge.
The other man was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
Vandenburg said the incident is still under investigation.
