GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — One of the world's largest technology companies is expanding into the Triad.
At a meeting on Thursday, Guilford County Commissioners voted to give Lenovo an economic incentive grant of over $1.1 million. Lenovo, for its part, plans to invest $77 million in the county and create 420 new jobs.
With this move, Lenovo leaders say the Triad is one step closer to becoming a tech and innovation hub.
"This planned expansion underscores Lenovo's continued commitment to North Carolina and our confidence in the Triad's skilled workforce," Ben Massey, Vice President of Supply Chain for Lenovo, said on Thursday.
