MARION, Iowa (KCRG) - An Ecuadorian man received a prison term after he pleaded guilty in connection to a stabbing that occurred in Marion.

25-year-old Jordy Torres-Cabezas, pleaded guilty to two counts of willful injury in connection to a stabbing that occurred in Marion. It happened at an apartment in the 4000 block of Tama Street SE on September 19, 2024.

Court documents say Jordy Torres-Cabezas, 25, stabbed the victim in the abdomen with a kitchen knife. He then kicked the victim in the face, knocking out multiple teeth.

Torres then allegedly also stabbed the victim again, this time in the left arm, causing a deep laceration. The victim lost a lot of blood from the stabbings and had to have emergency surgery, according to officials.
