CORALVILLE, Iowa (KCRG) - Hundreds of volunteers in Coralville are preparing to provide free dental care to a thousand people over two days. It’s through Iowa Mission of Mercy’s free annual dental clinic.

Kobi Voshell first volunteered at a Iowa Mission of Mercy clinic in 2009, and he credits that volunteer work as the reason why he went into dentistry.

“I realized that I wanted to help people just like that that were in need, and not just fix problems but educate to prevent problems,” said Voshell.

Now, Voshell’s a dentist with his own practice and he’s made almost every mission of mercy clinic since 2018. It’s not just dental care experts that make the event run, it’s an army of more than 1,300 volunteers.
