A car in a suburban area has been destroyed after being engulfed in flames, a crime scene has been established.

Following inquiries by Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) it is believed the vehicle was stolen by a nearby home.

The fire is being treated as suspicious by FRNSW and police.

Firefighters were called to the scene in Glenroi just after 6 am on September 19.

They quickly worked to extinguish the blaze, which had completely destroyed the vehicle, and had the fire out just before 7 am.

Officers from the Central West Police District attended .

The hatchback was parked on Raines Place, Orange.

Authorities have not reported any injuries.

Investigations have commenced into the circumstances surrounding the fire.
