Chillicothe — The local League of Women Voters recently celebrated “Women’s Equality Day” with education and activities in Yoctangee Park. I caught the activity at each tent on video towards the end of the day.

Familiar faces of women in leadership and business staffed the tables at the bandstand in Yoctangee Park on August 23rd, 2025. The League of Women Voters of Chillicothe Ross County promoted it as “something different, challenging and fun:”

“Stop at the ‘Story’ booth and record your story, decorate a cookie like the star of your dream, test your knowledge of famous women, speak up at Speakers Corner, play Corn Hole, learn about bees, find out about realistic health care, discover who’s running for office, and much more!”
