Ellem Country Pastoral Company at Bureen, via Denman, sold five-year-old Angus cows with calves by a 3R sire for $2950 a unit. They were bought by Geoff Clydesdale at Rouchel, with selling agent Chris Dobie, Nurtrien Harcourts at Scone , saying the buyer appreciated the quality on offer.

"I thought prices for vendors were good on the day, but there was an opportunity for good buying as well," he said.
