ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The city is giving you permission to transform parking spaces into something more vibrant, and in return, you could get some parking tickets wiped away.
Friday is Parking Day, which is a global initiative to temporarily turn curbside parking spaces into “mini parks” to highlight issues like climate change, road safety and more.
The event will take place just east of The Loop, at Left Bank Books in the Central West End and on Washington Avenue near the EADs Bridge and along Cherokee Street.
The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. Those who participate in the event can have $100 of parking tickets forgiven.
