A Boston police officer was bitten by a dog Wednesday while responding to a Dorchester home to assist a resident, police said.
The incident took place around 9:45 a.m. at a residence in the 700 block of Washington Street, said Officer Mark Marron, a police spokesperson.
The dog was seized by the city’s animal control unit, Marron said.
Marron said around 3 p.m. that the officer’s injuries were non-life threatening.
