NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Downtown New Haven came alive Thursday night as over 1,500 students filled the Shops at Yale for the return of College Night.

The annual event, hosted by Yale University Properties, is designed to connect students with local businesses through food, music, culture, and community. It drew hundreds of attendees from several colleges for the largest public student gathering in the area.

Students enjoyed free food samples, giveaways, shopping discounts and live entertainment while exploring Broadway and the surrounding streets.

“It’s just very welcoming,” one student said. “I honestly love it, just getting to know all the local people and places, it’s really nice.”
