Tamil comedy actor Robo Shankar died on Thursday at 9.05 pm at a private hospital in Chennai. Dhanush and Udhayanidhi Stalin went to his home in Valasaravakkam to pay last respects. Karthi, Vijay Sethupathi, Raghava Lawrence and several others fondly remembered the actor with heartfelt tributes on X.

Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, on X, expressed his sadness at the death of Robo Shankar. "We paid our respects by placing a garland on his body kept at his residence . Starting his journey as a stage performer, achieving success on the small screen, and entertaining Tamil audiences with his realistic humour in films, brother Robo Shankar was truly remarkable," his post on X in Tamil read.
