Walter Mosley writes for three hours every day and has done so for nearly four decades.

An adaptation of his 2004 novel, "The Man in My Basement," starring Corey Hawkins and Willem Dafoe, was released in theaters on Sept. 12 and will show on Hulu starting Sept. 26.

Walter Mosley has written 17 books featuring his most famous literary creation: the Black Los Angeles private detective Ezekiel "Easy" Rawlins. They are among the more than 60 that he has produced in a career spanning four decades, along with several screenplays, stage plays and nonfiction titles.
