Erie County is inviting service providers to lease a county-owned space for $1 a year to operate a daytime drop-in program serving homeless individuals.
The new program will be based at the county’s Community Resilience Center on East 16th Street, a former prison work release facility that has been repurposed to support vulnerable populations. The goal is to have a selected provider lease space for $1 a year, with utilities covered by other tenants in the building, County Executive Brenton Davis said at a Sept. 17 news conference.
