By the end of September, Detroit will be darker almost two hours earlier than it was at the peak of the summer, according to the National Weather Service .
From mid-June to early July, the sun set in Detroit at 9:13 p.m.
By Sept. 30, it'll set at 7:15 p.m.
And people are starting to notice the change. A Michigan dad, whose son regularly posts his rants on social media, recently went off about the earlier darkness and warned that it'll soon be dark at 5:30 p.m. and to get the long johns ready. Beware that the language in the video is explicit. We can all relate to the emotions.
Unfortunately, this how it works every year. However, with temperatures still in the high 70s and 80s in metro Detroit, having less time to soak up the sun doesn't seem right.
