Over the past eight years, attendees of the annual Hailey Hispanic Heritage Festival have come to expect a vibrant mix of food, dance and music that reflects the cultures of the valley’s Latin and South American residents.
This year, even as other cities and communities cancel events around Hispanic Heritage Month, festival organizers in Hailey are expanding their programming to include neighboring communities.
“It’s challenging doing this during these times,” said Herbert Romero, who founded the festival in 2018, “but we must represent our community by coming together and embracing our Latino culture.”
