LISBON A Columbiana County judge sentenced an East Liverpool man to 19 years in prison for multiple drug-related offenses that authorities say occurred throughout 2024.

Joseph Desarro II, 32, received the sentence this week after law enforcement agencies seized thousands of fentanyl pills and other controlled substances during several investigations.

According to a statement from the Columbiana County Prosecutor's Office, investigators confiscated more than 8,000 pressed fentanyl pills, over 30 grams of powder fentanyl, and more than 90 grams of cocaine.

The prosecutor's office stated that approximately $15,000, believed to be drug proceeds, was also recovered and will be forfeited.
