ATLANTA — Her face was once plastered on billboards. Balloon releases honored her life. And her violent death sparked outrage across Atlanta.
“My daughter didn’t even get a chance to sin. Ain’t nobody out here standing for my child. Ain’t nobody out here standing for my child,” Secoriea Turner’s father, Secoriey Williamson, said in 2020 while demanding justice for his daughter.
Now, more than five years later, that justice could soon be delivered as Julian Conley, the man accused of killing her, faces a judge and jury .
On Thursday, Secoriea’s mother, Charmaine Turner, took the stand. Her voice trembled and tears filled her eyes as she recalled the night her youngest child died in her arms.
“She was a little sassy because she’s going to say whatever comes to mind. Very silly,” Charma
