MARLBORO COUNTY, S.C. —

A woman has been arrested after she was caught stealing from a humane society in South Carolina, where she worked, according to the Marlboro County Sheriff's Office.

The Marlboro County Sheriff's Office said Tracey McDowell, an employee at the Humane Society of Marlboro County, was caught on camera stealing items from her office on Wednesday.

They said McDowell had initially completed court-ordered community service for probation at the Humane Society, and upon completion, was offered a position at the shelter, where she had been employed since late August.
