SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - Happy Friday, ArkLaTex! We may see a few scattered storms today, the weekend will be a warm one, and some heat relief is on the way next week.

A complex of thunderstorms is moving out of Oklahoma this morning and moving towards the ArkLaTex. While these storms will weaken and end before reaching us, a few may hold together long enough to reach areas north of I-30 between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.

Most of us will be dry through the morning, with highs reaching the 80s and low 90s this afternoon. The warm temperatures will trigger more isolated to scattered storms this afternoon. While severe weather is not expected, a damaging wind gust can't be ruled out with any storms, as well as frequent lightning.
