SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS)- Baton Rouge-based nonprofit, Fathers on a Mission, a fatherhood support organization, is launching in Shreveport with an event this weekend aimed at engaging local fathers and father figures.

They will host a Fatherhood Informational Session this Saturday at Bilberry Park from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The group provides classes, social services, and intervention programs designed to help fathers overcome barriers and strengthen their relationships with their children. Founder and Executive Director Levar Robinson says their mission is to give kids the best chance at success by supporting the fathers in their lives.
