ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — New York State released its 2025-2026 COVID-19 vaccination guidance.

The new guidance continues to recommend that all individuals, including children from six months to 18 years old, and at-risk people get the vaccine. This also includes people who are pregnant and immunocompromised.

In a statement, Governor Hochul says she is working to ensure vaccines are accessible for New Yorkers amid federal issues. Federal guidance does not recommend them for nearly everyone this year. The FDA says people 65 or older should get them, but children and young adults should get them if they have asthma, obesity, or other risk factors.
