AVON, N.Y. (WROC) — The Avon School Board held its first meeting since a board member allegedly made controversial comments about Charlie Kirk's assassination, sparking community concerns.
On September 18th, Dr. Stephen Comeau, a school board member, released a statement clarifying that his posts did not celebrate Charlie Kirk's death but rather addressed societal expectations in light of the incident.
"I believe what's happening in Dr. Comeau is not cancel culture; it's words and actions can have consequences in real time," one speaker said at the meeting.
