EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) - A U.S. postal worker accused of driving drunk and crashing a mail truck in East Longmeadow is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
East Longmeadow Police Chief Mark Williams stated that at approximately 9:39 a.m. on August 26th, Westcomm Regional Dispatch received multiple 911 calls regarding a crash near the Pride gas station at the center rotary in East Longmeadow.
The reports stated that the crash involved a U.S. Postal Service mail truck and a pedestrian. The driver of the mail truck had allegedly left the area of the crash heading north on Elm Street. Officers arriving at the gas station began to administer first aid to the victim, who had sustained serious injuries from the crash.
