PETERSBURG, Ind. (WEVV) — A Petersburg man was arrested on charges of OWI and resisting law enforcement after being stopped on a tractor.

Late Thursday around 9:30 p.m., Indiana State Police officials say they saw Joshua Brames run a stop sign on 4th Street at SR 57 while driving a John Deere tractor.

They say Brames was pulling a yard trailer, which also had no taillights.

When police pulled Brames over, they say he showed signs of impairment but refused field sobriety tests.

At one point, ISP says Brames stepped off the tractor and took off running, but he was quickly apprehended.

Brames was arrested and taken to the Pike County Jail.
