WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Police in the District are searching for three people who are accused of assaulting and stabbing a person on Benning Road overnight.

Just before midnight on Sept. 18, officers were called to the 2300 block of Benning Road NE, where a person had been stabbed.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) told DC News Now that three people had assaulted and stabbed the victim before taking his belongings. The trio then took off running toward 21st Street.

Police said the victim refused medical treatment.

Following the incident, D.C. police issued a lookout for three men in their early 20s. MPD said one suspect has the possible alias of "Juv."
