Tottenham manager Thomas Frank said he will ignore the Premier League table until April despite his side’s strong start to the season.

Frank’s men have won three of their first four league games under the Dane and beat Villarreal in their Champions League opener on Tuesday.

Third-placed Tottenham could go top with a victory at Brighton on Saturday, if leaders Liverpool lose the Merseyside derby against Everton earlier in the day.

Asked when he would start keeping an eye on the title race by checking the table, Frank told reporters on Friday: “April? Let’s put it that way.

“I think I looked at the table a couple of times after one of the last games and I thought, ‘ooh, is that team that high or that low?’ because I’m not looking at it.
