Payments are now being sent to Facebook users who used the social media platform between May 24, 2007, and December 22, 2022. A settlement reached in a class-action lawsuit calls for Facebook to pay out $725 million in damages that will be split among an estimated 18 million Facebook users.

However, the actual pool of money split amongst users will be less than $725 million as lawyers will also be paid from that pool and any other litigation fees will also be subtracted.

According to The Hill, the smallest payments is for $4.89 and the maximum payment is $38.36. The average payment is for $29.43.
