AUBURN, N.Y. (WSYR-TV)-- A man was arrested for having allegedly threatened to blow up a hospital and police station, Auburn police say.

51-year-old James Brooks began threatening staff and officers at the Auburn Community Hospital at around 1:29 p.m. on Sept. 16, according to a police report.

Brooks threatened to blow up the hospital, as well as threats to blow up the police station, police say.

Brooks was eventually taken into custody without incident and taken to the Auburn Police Department headquarters. Brooks was charged with two counts of making a terroristic threat, a Class D felony.

Brooks was then sent to the Cayuga County Jail for arraignment.
