WASHINGTON, D.C. — Anker Innovations Limited has issued a voluntary recall of nearly half a million portable power banks due to fire and burn hazards linked to overheating lithium-ion batteries.

The recall, announced Thursday, affects five models of Anker Power Banks: A1647, A1652, A1257, A1681 and A1689.

The products were sold nationwide at retailers including Best Buy, Target, Amazon, Walmart and TikTok Shop between August 2023 and June 2025, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Prices ranged from $30 to $50.

The CPSC said Anker received 33 reports of overheating incidents, including four minor burn injuries and one case of significant property damage.
