FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — How things can change in as little as seven days.

Hand-wringing about a performance in the season opener that featured only one sack and some self-inflicted miscues have given way to optimistic confidence after the Atlanta Falcons quieted the howling crowd in Minnesota and rolled over the Vikings.
