NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Beef industry professionals from across the country are currently in North Platte to learn the latest trends in beef cattle reproductive management.
More than 200 people gathered at the D&N Event Center for the 2025 Applied Reproductive Strategies Beef Cattle Symposium.
The symposium featured researchers and industry professionals to help equip producers with the newest and most advanced information so that they can make informed, cost-effective decisions.
“Time of conception impacts their lifetime longevity, overall productivity,” said Nebraska Extension reproductive physiologist and beef specialist, Rick Funston. “Cow depreciation is one of the biggest costs behind feed that we have, and one of the big contributors to cow depreciation is how many calves tha
